Anonymous asked: Can you describe your new albums sound at all?
I’m working hard on two different albums but I’ll assume you’re referring to “school shootings” which is the coma cinema album.
It’s still in a very early stage but my vision for it has been to make a record that is more lyrical and natural sounding. There isn’t going to be a lot of effects or synths and things that i’ve used in the past to maybe mask some of my own insecurities. I’m confident that the songs for this album are the best I have written.
Also I am not producing this record alone like the last three, my close friend and keyboard player in the live band Logan Goldstein is playing a very large role in the tracking.
“blue suicide” had a lot of tracks that were written before even “baby prayers” was released. it was a cleaning out of the mind I guess, all the songs that couldn’t fit on the first two coma cinema albums. This new record is all songs that were written fairly recently and reflect my current situation and it’s desperate nature.
Living is way out there. Anytime it could leave you so i’m working hard to get this done. I know I will.
