Kickstarter is a bullshit idea propagated by rich kids and other non artists who are too fucking lazy to work for what they supposedly care about. I am lucky enough (but I also worked hard as fuck with no corporate PR support or label support) to have connected with enough people that when I put out a new record some people choose to pay for it.
But paying for it should always be the option not the requirement. Fuck all those already rich kids who think that just because you can write a song means someone should fund yr vacation.
I have worked very hard for every scrap of equipment I have and spent every dime i’ve earned from my art ethically to either provide more free downloads for those who choose not to pay or finance a tour that those who listen to my songs want to see. Fuck all those who take advantage of the kindness of others through vanity projects and other self serving evils.
