Write a song everyday even if it’s a terrible song.
I still write just as many bad songs as good ones, I’ve never been talented in the sense that it came easy. The best advice I can give to anyone is to work at it constantly, and never settle for yourself.
You may create the greatest artistic achievement of your life today, you may never reach that height of expression again, but if you sit back and stop working you have failed your art and yourself as an artist.
Just keep going, always.
