Anonymous asked: As Elvis Depessedly turns more "melodic" in a sense, and less like the first two albums, how are you going to diffirentiate it from Coma Cinema? In my ignorant opinion, they're kind of coming together. When I first downloaded "Survivor's Guilt", it was supposed to be an Elvis song.
I wouldn’t call that an ignorant opinion. It would be best for anyone listening to my music to see it all as one big thing, the names on the projects don’t matter all that much. Survivor’s Guilt has always been a Coma Cinema song. A certain company who payed for that recording mislabeled it during a failed pr campaign.
I won’t make any active attempts to differentiate my projects…but elvis depressedly is a moniker i can use without any fear of failing, there are many ideas on all the records that never would of made it on to a Coma Cinema album, the instrumental track on “goner”, some of the more personal tracks on “mickey’s dead”, or the blown out tape sound of “hotter sadness”.
My advice to anyone would be not to limit themselves and not try and limit others either. What is a name anyway? Do these things really matter?
