I would like to again thank everyone who supported our recent album, Stoned Alone, and everyone who purchased the cassette from Arcade Sound. It is with some confusion and frustration that I now owe these same people an apology. The truth of the matter is, I have not been able to contact anyone from Arcade Sound Ltd for weeks now, and I have never seen even a picture of our tape. I do not know if it was made as promised and I do not know if they will be sending them to the people who were nice enough to buy them. I find this very frustrating for many reasons.
First and foremost, it is unfair to the people who spent money on our music, which is something that is very rare in this day and age, and something that I appreciate tremendously even though none of the proceeds for the tape were going to go to me. I told Arcade Sound they could have all the money to further the label because it was something I truly believed in (and I still believe in the bands themselves and their immense talent and kindness).
Secondly, I’m just as clueless and confused about this as anyone else, which is entirely my fault. I should have made sure completely that everyone would be receiving what they paid before I ever agreed to do anything.
Lastly, I am not in anyway attempting to demonize Arcade Sound or any of the people involved. It’s just been a month and I haven’t heard from them or received any information on the status of the cassette or anything else that was agreed upon. It’s possible that there is some explanation for this ordeal, but at this point, I highly doubt it.
I would suggest that you ask for a refund if the tapes don’t exist. And if you cannot reach Arcade Sound as I have not been able to, please contact me, and we can try to rectify this in any way we can. Again, I thank you all for your encouragement and support and your ears.
I promise that I will always, from this point on, make sure I know the score completely before I get involved in anything else. You can be assured that any Summertime in Hell releases will not only arrive as promised, but will be exactly what you expect them to be.
